The Senior Volunteer Connection of South Central Georgia is a non-profit
organization working with the South Ga Coalition to End Homelessness. We
currently administer the Foster Grandparent and Retired Senior Volunteer
Programs in the Ben Hill, Berrien, Brooks, Cook, Echols, Irwin, Lanier, Lowndes,
Tift, & Turner counties.
We have offices located in Valdosta and Tifton, Georgia to assist any senior who
would like information on volunteer opportunities available in our community.

are a part of the Corporation for National and Community Service.

Tapping the Rich Experience, Skills, and Talents of the 55+ Population
Through grants and other resources—including the energy and efforts of citizens age 55 and
over—Senior Corps helps meet the needs and challenges of America’s communities. Grants
administered through Senior Corps provide funding for:
- FGP- connects volunteers age 60 and over with children and young people with
exceptional needs.
- RSVP- offers "one stop shopping" for all volunteers 55 and over who want to find
challenging, rewarding, and significant service opportunities in their local communities.
