RSVP offers maximum flexibility and choice to its volunteers as it matches the personal
interests and skills of older Americans with opportunities to serve their communities.

RSVP volunteers choose how and where they want to serve—from a few hours to more than
40 hours a week. RSVP volunteers provide hundreds of community services, such as:
*  Provide Home Delivered Meals to the homebound
* Tutor and Mentor Children and Teens
* Tutor in Adult Literacy
* Help in Hospitals and Nursing Homes
* Help Seniors find Prescription Assistance
* Serve on Boards of Nonprofit Organizations
* Provide Daily Supportive Calls to the Disabled
* Assist Military Families
* Support Chambers of Commerce
* Pack Food at Food Banks
* Assist in Alzheimer Caregiver Respite Day Care Centers
* Answer Phones at a Community Helpline
Benefits of Becoming an RSVP Volunteer
Volunteers are able to put their unique talents to work for community and
faith-based organizations that are significant to them. In addition, they
receive the following:
  • On-the-job training from the agency or organization where they
    are placed;
  • Supplemental insurance while on duty.
  • Learn new skills
  • Learn about your community   
  • Travel reimbursement and insurance

Who is eligible to
Become a Volunteer ?
  • Are over 55 years of
    age;
  • Is willing to serve a few
    hours every month
  • Lives in or near a
    county served by RSVP
These wonderful ladies visit local
nursing homes 3 times a month
to enrich the lives of the residents.
