FGP and RSVP Program
Senior Corps Week is a time to recognize the service of Senior Corps volunteers and our community partners. Across the nation Senior Corps volunteers and partners are mentoring and tutoring, responding to natural disasters, and assisting soup kitchens, food banks and community programs. Please join us as we celebrate and thank our vital FGP, RSVP Volunteers and our community partners.
Below is a list of activities that took place during Senior Corps Week:

May 8, 2012-9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
Veterans Hair Cut Day(Free of charge)
-a partnership with the Homeless Veterans Program)
May 9, 2012-10:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
RSVP, FGP, and Leroy Rogers Senior Center in Tifton, GA
The Sheriff Department made a special presentation to senior citizens on 911 emergency calls and safety in the home. Free 911 cell phones were distributed. RSVP annual meeting was also held this day.

The FGP and RSVP Programs cover 10 counties as follows: Ben Hill, Berrien, Brooks, Cook, Echols, Irwin, Lanier, Lowndes, Tift, and Turner Counties.
Each volunteer, station, and partners was given White Ribbons to wear for the day.
